The "Anchor Finger" Technique

When transitioning between chords like A, E, and D, I've found the "anchor finger" technique incredibly helpful. For example, when moving from A to D, you can keep your index finger down as a reference point.

  • A Major: 2nd fret on D, G, and B strings.
  • D Major: 2nd fret on G and high E, 3rd fret on B.

Reading Chord Diagrams

I finally stopped guessing and learned how to read chord diagrams properly. The vertical lines are strings (low E on the left, high e on the right) and the horizontal lines are frets.
